Praise, worship and music at Bearfield
Musical praise and worship are a huge part of life at Bearfield. We are blessed to have enough skilled musicians in our community that we would often be able to fill our band twice over.
We play all sorts of sacred music, from traditional hymns to modern worship songs and everything in between. Instruments range from piano, fiddle and cello to electric guitar, bass and drums. From contemplative taise, to folk-rock takes on traditional hymns, we play all sorts of styles - and volumes!
Our three Music Leaders, Esther, Kathryn and Warren, plan music each week that will complement the message of the service help members and visitors alike to feel closer to God, through music.
Music events at Bearfield
As well as Sunday services, Bearfield hosts a number of specific music events each year.
At Christmas, our Nine Lessons and Carols is a major community event that often leaves standing room only as the audience is taken through a collated blend of traditional, modern and folk carols, alongside scripture.
Our garden has also played host to more informal rock, folk and jazz offerings as part of summer social events, with worship band members turning their hands to more secular styles of music.
You can keep up to date on music events at Bearfield via our social media feeds.
